Concert in Copenhagen

Ten days ago, on June 17th, I went to a concert in Copenhagen.

The bus from my town to Aarhus went 10:31 - train to the main station in Copenhagen at 11:25 - something called "S-tog" which I will just translate to S-train (why it has the 'S' in it I do not know) at about 14:29 - 15 minutes of walking and we were THERE. Well actually we were in a Baresso (Danish coffee place thing), but then after our coffee/iced tea and walking to the football stadium in CPH, then realize we had a lot of time on our hands so went to The Body Shop and bought some body butter for 60% off (!!) and then back to Parken again WE WERE THERE. RIGHT IN THE LINE TO A CONCERT. A ONE DIRECTION CONCERT.

I have a few subjects to touch on about this trip:
- Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark
- Fandom, on the way to the concert
- Fandom, at the concert
- After midnight

Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark

I'd never really been to Copenhagen before this trip, nor do I think that this trip made the best possible representation of the city, since I only got to see a small part of it. I will say though, that being in Copenhagen...it was like when you visit the capital of a whole other country, but everyone (well, almost) spoke the same language as you. For some reason I expected Copenhagen to be kind of like Aarhus (the 2nd biggest city in Denmark), but nah, I felt like a proper tourist.
Also, people talk weird over there

Fandom, on the way to the concert

Wow was the area flooded in teenage girls! I almost kind of scared me, just because I can be a bit creeped out about extreme fandom, but, hey, I was going to the concert as well... This scenery was something I had never seen before - I had only been to two other concerts before in my entire life, not involving anyone or anything as big as One Direction. For some reason, I was also shocked at how packed it was with fans from all over the country and even Sweden and Norway.

Fandom, at the concert

This was just as, if not more, crazy - but in two different ways.
One like it was on the way to the concert; there were sooo many people, and some of them were really quite crazy (hehe).
Although, during some parts of the show, it was very touching. I took some photos and videos of these moments, because I knew I wanted to show it to someone. It surprised me that I could feel both like it was scary and too much and "you don't even know them personally and you're screaming at the glance of them!?!?!?" and like it was such a beautiful thing that all of these people had come together with at least one thing on common - they liked this band enough to want to but the ticket and fare to go and watch them live. That, or they valued their children's happiness enough to go with them (if they were to be too young to go without). How special must it feel that so many people all around the world would pay with both money and time to celebrate your band - and even your existence, because that's why we go to concerts, right? We want to experience our idol in live form, away from the computer or television screen.

After midnight

Our train from the main station in Copenhagen to Aarhus was to leave at 00:30. With a bit of a delay after waiting in the wrong place, Mette and I were at the train we were supposed to take at 00:28 when the controller tells us, and other passengers, that there is no room for us on the train...and it freaking drives off right in front of our confused noses. So here we were, in the very beginning of Mette's birthday, thirty-one and a half hours before I had to draw my subject for my German exam, stuck in Copenhagen - easily 3-4 hours drive away from home. I was honestly intensely pissed. We ended up (luckily) being able to take a train that left at 02:18, so we had a nice little nap on the floor of the train station before adventuring on our four-something-hours travel with no seat reservation. But we got home! At like 7 AM.

All in all, it was a great trip with great company (which really is what makes or breaks everything).

Before-school photoshoot

Last friday my friend Mette had a school day that started at 12:15 (PM I think..) and ended at 15:35 (03:35 PM), and so we decided to use the extra time we had in the morning to go shoot some pics and the seemingly spring-ish weather. We didn't realize that although it looked all kinds of nice outside, it was still the equivalent of the freezing winter temperature that it almost always is in March in Denmark. Nonetheless, we took photos, here they are, hope you like 
