Book Haul

I like reading books which are not for school, and I am almost done with school (for now), and so I bought seven books.

There are a lot of first-book-in-series-books and mainstream-popular-everyonehasreadthemalready-books in this lot, and yes, I do not have that many books right now, and I felt like this would be a good, kind of, starter pack. Anyway, I just wanted to read these, so I got them... Why am I trying to explain why I bought these? Haha

The If I Stay duology by Gayle Forman
In different covers because that was cheaper and I really don't care if they match I mean this just makes for more variation on my shelf #2cool2care

After hearing great things about If I Stay (inter alia, from this YouTube-video), I watched the movie, and I loved it!! I always like watching the movie before I read the book, for some reason - or at least before the first book if it is in a series. On that note, I just recently watched Love, Rosie which is also based on a book by Cecelia Ahern, and I really want to read the book!!! Why can't I be stinkingly rich?

Delirium by Lauren Oliver, the first book in the DELIRIUM triology

...which I read that a lot of people actually didn't like, but which LovelyLikeLaura on YouTube loves. Here's one of the videos I watched: The Delirium Triology by Lauren Oliver | BOOKTALK

City of Bones by Cassandra Clare, the first book in the Mortal Instruments series

EVERYONE seems to love Cassandra Clare's books, especially her other series The Infernal Devices, which is a companion series to this one. Although, this book was published before the first book in that series, so I figured that it would be better to read this one first. My best friend also really likes this book, aaaaand it was on major sale. AaaaAAaaAnd I also watched the movie based on this book recently, and even though it wasn't particularly my favorite movie (like I've experienced beforehand with movies like Twilight (A LONG TIME THOUGH don't judge me but I really loved it omg) The Hunger Games and Divergent), I really liked the character Jace (might have just a little bit to do with the accent but yeah) so I still wanted to read the book even though it wasn't the best movie in my opinion. Who am I to talk anyway, I'm not a movie director.

Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas, the first book in the Throne of Glass series (duh)

Again, heard great things about this series, and I was also drawn by how it seems like the main character, who is a girl, is really cool and bad-ass and all those things you know. This is also mentioned in that first link to the readbyzoe's 'favorite books of 2014' video.

The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin, the first book in the Mara Dyer triology

This book looks so flipping interesting!!! I am really really really exited to read this even though I've heard kind of mixed reviews on the books later in the series, but it is this psychological story about a girl whose friends were killed somehow, and so now she suffers from PTSD, and I love it, and I can't wait to read it!

Four: A Divergent Story Collection by Veronica Roth

I. love. The Divergent series. I read the entire triology last summer. I read the first book two times. Please don't judge me, I was on holiday in Italy with no internet and two books only (think I'll bring at least five this year), one of them was Divergent, and the other one was for school and it was exceptionally boring. Anyway, if you've read the last book, Allegiant, you know the sorrow. And you probably know of the longing for more Tris and Four and future Chicago or whatever. So this book came out, but it's like 200 DKK here in Denmark (which is almost $30 or £20) so I never got it, but NOW I DID because Amazon.

I kind of feel like starting to blog a lot about books. I currently have exams, but once I'm done, my gap year starts and I need things to do and yeah, I've already kind of started my reading frenzy... (not procrastinating promise (might be just a little bit) anyway bye bye
